Welcome to the Xurian Excavation Rig, a juggernaut-class mobile excavation machine. As the Rig crawls through the wasteland it continuously strip-mines the barren ground beneath it, exposing veins of precious fuel resources for harvesting.

The reward for completing a 1000 day tour on the Rig is an upgrade in citizenship status and/or expungement of criminal record. Those who make up the Rig’s 500 crew members often come from the fringes of society.

Five days ago, an unexplained event threw the Rig into chaos, trapping many of the workers in lower levels. As supplies dwindle and command fears a mutiny, ordinary crew members are recruited to go below and retake the Xurian by any means necessary.
